In India, annually lakhs of street animals or more than that die due to starvation and malnutrition. They happen to survive on fecal and toxic contaminated food.
There is a prevalent debate today that revolves around the idea of feeding dogs which comes under a welfare idea or leads to menace. Amidst these human rivalries, the innocent animals bear the wrath of hunger. Dogs in our neighbourhoods have no continuous and definite sources of food. They mostly tend to rely on waste leftovers found in overflowing dustbins which is indeed harmful for them and not a guaranteed source of food for survival.
The MADD Project
With the pandemic hitting the already starving animals, especially the dogs, Heart Foundation member took the task of feeding 8 dogs in their area and which today has increased to 100+ dogs currently in different cities of India.
We not only feed them but also close the loop through vaccination, sterilization and adoption. Seeing this dedication, Heart Foundation decides to reach atleast 1000 more strays by the year end for atleast one meal a day with your support.
Right now per Dog the cost is Rs 30 per Day per meal. So for 100 Dogs per year we need Rs.10,95,000. You can come forward by donating Monthly, Quarterly, Half and Yearly. When you contribute towards this noble cause you get the 80G benefit and tax exemptions as per ITAct 1961.
