An Public Initiative by ADHS, NMMC supported by Heart Foundation and Apollo Hospitals
Every year, monsoon related illnesses continue to rise and with COVID 19 pandemic, the situation has grown alarmingly. Malaria, Filaria, Leptospirosis and dengue are the main monsoon diseases that continue to pose challenge to the authorities. In addition to the ongoing efforts of ADHS, we would like to support their endeavor through our project to spread awareness among the citizens on these illnesses.
Zero Malaria Starts With Me Project:- This is a unique project that will focus on spreading awareness on these illnesses in all the areas under ADHS’s jurisdiction. The aim will be to help students, societies organisations and various strata of people understand the symptoms of Malaria, Filaria, Leptospirosis and dengue and the various Do’s and Don’ts that need to be followed to prevent these at individual / Household / Community levels.
As this initiative is one of its kind, we have started this in schools and plan to continue in different districts and Municipal Corporations as per your instructions. We are glad that the ADHS-NVBDCP Konkan division, Public Health Dept, Government of Maharashtra has joined hands and has encouraged us in our endeavor.
We have different IEC materials like backlight display boards, booklets, etc. To start with, we have made a booklet ZERO MALARIA STARTS WITH ME and you can download the booklet by clicking the link given below:-
